Reduced to remove?

Nutin to big, but difficult. Over garage and fence line and landscape with 1/2 the tree and the other 1/2 small drop zone.

The cavity was home to a small family of Raccoons.

I explain a bit and with some good pics of the rot and cavity in the vid.

 

Funny thing is they payed me well to reduce it a couple yrs ago but didn't want to live with the threat.

The prune took a day and the removal a two and 1/2 with just me and Scott.

nice vid. not sure if one handed use of 660 is best example to post on public forum though.

Yes, pretty stupid taking the short cut.

Should have put a directional rope in it.

Won't be doing that again.

You only get lucky so often before the tiger tears you up.

Other than the one handed 660 Mistake, I believe your video was spot on. Your step by step instruction was well documented and the job was done according to spec. and the customer was happy at the end. Mission accomplished.

Great promo video, i really enjoyed as it has some originality with the documentation, as for the one handing 660 meh there is a lot worst shown on here that barely raises an eyebrow, if you got the chainbrake on and a comfortable position its no biggie but obviously far from ideal, just glad it made it into the edit as it shows a realistic view of real tree work.

I would hazard a guess at Polyporus squamosus for the decay, acer negundo, was it? smells like pea shells when cut?

Real world!

My first climbing saw for many years was an o34 and I think it would be just slightly lighter than the 066.

Still no good excuse just needed to shave through a touch more and land it relatively flat.

Polyporus in Man. Maples is all a can recall living off em.

That particular tree loved the site, increments of growth were much greater than typical.

It was a pretty tree.
