England

My Grandad (Father's side) was invalided out of WW1 after a mustard gas attack. My Grandad (Mother's side) was in the Royal Marines in WW2. My Uncle was stationed in Germany and brought home a german wife who had made it from East to West Berlin just before the Ruskies got there and then her family proceeded to help smuggle East Berliners over to the west. I learnt all this only a couple of year ago. Funny what you don't know about your own family.

I love all this war stuff. ELG what are you're boys like at drill, haven't you got an outfit called the flying rifles or something? I was with this lot for a while, best drill team in the world imo.

Might I suggest the US Army Drill Team, 3rd Infantry.:thumbup1: Just took a look at the Queens Color Squadron, very impressive:thumbup1: IMO I would rate both equal, thank you for your service Mick.

Thanks Mick, I believe you are correct. I can still remember my Father, Uncles telling me about how ferocious the Polish pilots were during this pivotal time. They had lost so much and suffered a great deal at the hands of Two invading countries only to remain occupied for another 52 years after WW II. Glad I was there to witness the rebirth of my homeland in 1991.:thumbup1:
