A lot of my timber is tree surgery wast so will not go through my processor, this gets cut and split on arrival and put in my small cow shed. The cord I buy is in 3m lengths so stays like that until I sell it, it's all at least 12 to 18 months old, when I process that straight into my pick up it nice and seasoned in the middle but a bit damp, as I have said before the wood dries out quick when spli t and stored in a shed.

Sent from my I pad coz I'm gullible for buying apple products!

I process straight into the shed and let it sit there for how ever long it needs to be. when a client orders wood, pull up the trailer and load with the tractor easy!

I have had enough of logs for now so I think I have run out till after christmas. unless you are a good regular customer then I might be able to find the odd pile of 300 tonnes of beech I processed last march :001_smile:

We had a huge stock of kindling which is going down rapidly so will be concentrating on keeping our wholesale customers happy. I have had my caveman log cutting fix.

Depends who Im selling too - but I never give out green unless I know the customer will be able to season it themselves.

I have given a cheaper price for green as well in the past, but it was a way of getting rid of arisings really.

I process straight off cord stack through latter part of season and all through the summer months problem being???

The nearest guy to me has done quality logs for 20-25 years now and he always proccesses straight off cord stack into his truck. Fiar paly Jon yuor sepeillng adn sentnces aer whoefull...While the dark nights are hear get yourself booked on a college course English literature would be a good start!!!!(joke) I presume this is what you are asking? So lets say you are into logs in a big way 500t of logs piled in a barn is alot of work/money sat there earning nowt for a long time matey. If you had anything about you get the customer ordering a year in advance and get them to season it.
