Have these come with bark chippings?

I have put down tons of chip all well composted and have mushrooms all over the garden except for on the chip pile figure that

 

the conditions in the pile are different to the aerated conditions on the floor in their final situation (mulch application)

 

fungi are habitat/host specific meaning they need certain things to thrive.

 

fact is that a mulch with or without the possibilities of carrying pathogens (unlikely very very unlikely) the competion of antagonisms would not be good for oportunistic parasites that require a weakened host in the first instance and a lack of biodiversity to compete with in the second instance

The quick answer is yes. The reference for this would be a 2005 RHS Plantsman article on This subject. Honey Fungus in wood chip. Is this what you mean? It's available online if you search in google. I,d copy a link but I,m on a IPad and don,t know how to copy and paste on it
