Loading Up Logs

I load everything by hand, unload everything by hand but then I'am not flat out just doing logs.

I would be looking to get a small cheap forklift to hang the bags on to load. Thats about as far as I would go, the mucking about you would do with a tractor and a bucket I could have a bag loaded.

Do you season and deliver in the bags. We actually process into bags to season and tip into tunnel. I only do logs a day or so a week but in January I load and deliver 16 cu metres sometimes on Saturday alone. I load 2 cu in about 4 minutes I aim to load deliver and return within the hr so I can grab some lunch.

would be interesting to find out if other loadhandler users have a different mechanical method of tipping the bags out, there is a trick to it to make sure you don't ruck up the drag sheet.

Just come across this post - you've just coined a new Loadhandler slogan - "Hey", "What?" - "Don't ruck up yer Dragsheet" :001_tongue:
