Have been wanting to make a bar top since starting milling as a good sized plank is easy to cut and no joinery involved.

 

Started to use hard dead branchwood more as you can sand it and use it immediately without having to peel bark off etc. These ones are oak.

Finished with a polyurethene varnish for hardwearing and easy cleaning.

 

Shouldn't be any movement was in the polytunnel for 3 years and stayed pretty straight even though had not been stickered!

Sounds ideal - all movement should be well and truly done with now. Very nice job indeed! :thumbup1:
