Hormonal Sentience in trees?

Anybody heard of this or know of anywhere i can muster some research/results?

 

Tried the athens route to no avail and don't want to use the info available off wiki:001_rolleyes:

 

It is particularly trees in the savanna that interest me at the moment but i feel this may be used all over the worlds by trees and plants, just need good examples of it to prove so:biggrin:
