The other thing that happened was that when I was going back up, after tea break, I had the 60cm strop under the SJ and used my Pantin.

The SJ would not lock off by itself at all! The LJ does. That was weird and I can't figure out why.

Any ideas?

 

When using the pantin if you keep the pressure maintained the SJ will slide up and down freely. You have to take the pressure of the pantin to get the SJ to bite!

I know but the SJ didn't bite at all. When I clipped the SJ straight onto the harness bridge again it locked off.

 

As I said, weird.
