Some pictures of hugging Beech trees and even one that sent a branch over 5m to another tree.

 

You can hear the one tree telling the other 'don't worry I wont let you fall over even if you have got a big bracket fungi up on your stem!' :lol:

 

A few pictures of some big Douglas firs and a couple of Giant redwoods too! :thumbup:

Nice pics. I do like that area. The first time we walked that area, we parked up near Bolderwood and somehow ended up walking along the side of the A31 in the dark in driving rain. A badger jumped in front of me on the verge and scared the life out of me. Both our phones ran out of battery. We ended up finding the car eventually. Nice area to get lost, apart from the road.

We climbed the taller of the 2 redwoods years ago. The ornamental drives about 4 miles from where we live

 

You lucky fella, not a climber myself but always in awe of those that do - I take it the views were excellent?
