Tucked away on the Bristol to Bath cycle path in what is a predominantlyHawthorn wood. Only 3.5mtr girth but a fantastic veteran. Unfortunately as with alot of veterans in close proximity to the urban environment it has suffered severe fire damage.

A great habitat tree it could really do with some haloing as there is some serious encroachment from neighbouring trees and some endweight reduction on a couple of limbs to try and preserve this tree for as long as poss. There are a few young oaks nearby so i would be tempted to carry out a spot of veteranisation on one of them to ensure there is an 'heir apparent' for when this one finally clogs it.
