Short courses in Cheshire?

Hi All,

 

Can anyone advise where I can take short courses in Cheshire. I'm based near Whitchurch - in the past I did my CS30/31 & CS38 at Myerscough but it's quite a trek every morning.

 

I'm after CS39, large tree felling, dismantling, etc... and a Chipper course.

 

Can anyone suggest somewhere decent within say half an hour of Malpas?

If you need more bods for large tree felling give me a shout - sometimes the courses need numbers in order to run and I've got a couple of lads who need medium/large trees and windblow. You should also try Terry Crick - he runs courses all over the place, isn't a million miles from you and is a top man. He's on here - I think he's called apex arb. If you Google Terry Crick Apex Arboriculture you'll find him.

Try Shades of Green in Walton, Warrington. They run chipper courses and can put you in touch with the trainers/assesors for other tickets.

The large tree ticket is a bit of a bugger unless you can provide the site/trees.

Thanks everyone - that's really helpful.

 

While we're on the subject of learning, does anyone know about hedge laying courses? I'd really like to have a crack at that; it looks really satisfying.

 

If anyone would be happy to teach 'on the job' in exchange for free and enthusastic labour, I'd be bang up for it. I think it's only fair to mention that I'm not back in UK until April...

Try Adrian Carvell in Congleton tel: 07912343699 He used to run the courses at Reaseheath but now offers NPTC training in house (might be a little cheaper than Reaseheath too).
