wet weather rope

whats the preferred climbing line for the consistent wet weather days. Any changes on the hitch used or techniques.

new england fly is failry water resistant early on in its life and is a good choice, failing that, any of the larger diameter lines.

i always use a v't hitch regardless but hitch cord is defiinetly a factor. ive found hrc cord with new england fly is a good combo

my prefered line for wet days is someone elses unless it,s velocity no seriosly am suprised steve said he would go bigger i would do the opposite as they dont hold as much water to drip down your arm and dont get as heavy all probably down to different styles and combinations another plus point for the shunt it does not slip in the wet

i used to find the shunt very slippy in the wet, possible down the the rope i used though.

 

good points on the larger diameter rope though....it is easier to grip though when wet.
