Get a decent secondhand john deere 1445 with a 62" rear discharge deck!!!!! cuts anything and they be bullet proof.

 

but stink, they don't half hold there value, just seen a 8 year old one going for £7000 +vat.

Try an older model F1145 or F935 with 60" deck should be within budget,

all with yanmar diesels:thumbup:

We have an old wessex flail on the back of our Kubota B2400. We had the belt drive removed and replaced with a chain drive with a very basic slip clutch system. If it hit a large object the force would spin the clutch and not transfer into the gearbox.

Yes, takes a little bit of practise, but isnt rocket science. The secret with that mower is speed control, not to go into long stuff like a bull in a china shop, give it time to clear itself :thumbup1:
