If the bearings are stuck to the shaft (often happens as they are a tight fit), smash the casting with a big hammer then use a micro disc (really thin) to slice into the high speed steel of the bearing itself. Smash off the outer race and balls then delicately disc into the inner race without going into the shaft. Then use a chisel to break open the inner race and be very careful cleaning up the shaft in readiness for the bearings. Use "bearing fit" to "glue the bearing in place as well as using the collar.

When you fit the new bearings,if they are a tight fit on the shaft, get the shaft in the freezer for a good while,(& wipe off any condensation when you remove it),& have the bearings warmed nicely on a radiator, makes it a bit easier to get them on due to expansion & contraction.
