Coriolus versicolor or Trametes versicolor after about an hours searching:sneaky2: i hate searching for fungi, theres too many of them! it would help if my fung books weren't in another country as well:001_rolleyes:

Dont make me do that again, especially with the headache i have from the root treatment at the dentist today:crying:

You know i have a bad memory for fungi names, so this thread is a way of trying to remember some and finding new ones for me. Plus its called My Fungal finds... You tell me???

 

If I dont make you go and look up the easy ones youll never gain.:001_cool:

 

as for me not knowing it, i not only know its name, but its medicinal and culinary uses:lol:

Ötzi, the iceman from the Alps, had it in a lether purse hanging from his belt. And it was used by bee keepers for smouldering bits in a pipe to stun and pacify the bees with the smoke enabling them to harvest the honey from the hives.
