Tobias,

Why don't you go look for Hapalopilus croceus yourself ? According to Ryvarden & Gilbertson, it should be present in your region, i.e. north to the soutern part of Sweden. In Denmark and Norway, however, it should respectivally be extinct since 1937 and 1880.

Speaking of nutters. I've lost count of the times I was asked whether I was sick and needed a doctor by people confronted with me photographing fungi while lying flat on my belly in the woods or having dogs climbing on top of me wanting to mate  .

My favourite was this year, whilst laying across a trunk shooting the eyelash fungi an orienteering lass came through this secluded thicket looking for a GPS beacon and thought she had found a dead body slung across a fallen tree!

she looked ever so worried when i lifted and turned to her and said no im not dead im just wierd!

It's a little embarrasing the first few times, but you kinda grow a thick skin to all the odd looks..........eventually

Looks like this well known fung hunter has just been disturbed whilst in full fung shooting mode

.

So who was that you disturbed Mr humphries? a local enthusiast I presume?

NUTTER!

No S...t sherlock!
