I have a palax that does that its because the spool valve hasnt triped properly to split i know its different machines but if the spool isnt pushing across fully it wont split properly maybe needs adjusting or the needs a clean out of the mechinism just a sugestion

I have a 2x I would make sure the 3 drive belts are tight and not oily. Then check the oil filter in the top of tank. Make sure the rams are not leaking through the little brass breather on the ram. Your hyd pump may be worn or you may just be over loading it ( its only 4 or 5 tonne ) . Check the clutch plates dont slip on the tractor pto. If you get notty bits try to slit the end furthest from knot or chuck to one side and use vertical 10 tonne splitter. Thats all I can think of at the moment not sure if there is a relief valve on the machine.
