Im going to see if i can get any sales further affield by offering a delivery option for 100 or 200 nets of logs. Ive seen quotes for 70 quid for a large pallet. Anybody done this on here? If so how many bags can you fit on a pallet? Assuming 10kg per net, approx 10 logs.

Thanks anyway Andy.

Your Woodfule guide on your web site is full of excellent information - well written

We all agree that your first line "It is a sad fact that there is an awful lot of rubbish being sold as firewood these days." is very true.

I would like to think that some people would rather sell a quality kiln dried product ( even from abroad) rather than " this wet stuff is all I've got mate - take it or leave it!"

Any way - a lot depends on the weather and people's understanding of what quality of fuel they should have to ensure their specific appliance does what it should do.

I am up in Carlisle so may look in when passing some time - it would be good to compare notes with somebody knowledgeable like yourself.

I'm considering a simular thing with kindling, £70 seems to be about on the mark. any ideas on how best to keep them on the pallet though? .... (cling film etc)

We have tried this but found the cost of pallet, film and labour comes to as nearly much as the kindling to make. Then you have to pay for the courier in the hope you get paid for the hole lot. I would be interested to hear how you got on. I have a rotating pallet machine which rotates but not much else if its any use.
