With the cost of the MS200T being what it is, I reserve its use solely for work up in the tree where its power is useful. For sorting things out on the ground, I have and use a far less expensive Echo CS300 that has performed admirably for light work for quite some time.

Yes, the words "cheap shite" come to mind.

I bought a tophandled ecco six years ago (I didn't have that much money back then). It was absolutely useless!!! 100% plastic, weak engine, the airfilter-cab was falling of when you where in the tree, etc....

After a week I stored it in my bacement and bought a husqvarna 339t. That was a good saw, but the stihl 200t is far the best you can get! I now use a 200t with 14" guidebar. It's a waist of time and money to try and buy cheap chainsaws. It's the same with climbing gear...!

Dunno what its like.

Does it matter if its not top drawer?

If its any good' date=' use it.

If its lacking, do a few jobs till you can afford a new 200t.

Keep the echo as a back up.

Don't buy a second hand 200t, cos it'll be knackered. Who in their right mind would sell a perfectly running topper?[/quote'] A burglar ????
