Hi all

Our Mollie got clobbered by Seasonal Canine Illness (SCI) today.

We took her to the vet who gave her a couple of jabs and some pills.

Symptoms came on fast and dogs have died of it.

Yes we have been in woodland, we walk in the woods twice a day. Is there any advice up there on how to avoid it? It seems all we can do is keep her on the lead.

I can't edit the OP so here are the broken links again

Hi all, for what its worth the Animal Health Trust is asking owners to complete this questionaire to help identify the cause see here Animal Health Trust | Animal Health Trust

From keeping up with this story it seems they are looking to the cause being blue green algae.

So anyone who regularly walks their dogs in woods, it is worth giving them a good wash down when you return home, pay particular attention to paws and underbellies, and it goes without saying dont allow them to swim, or drink stagnant pools(as dogs do)

I hope your dog is on the mend Baggy.
