GBBO - any advice or experience...

Has anyone had dealings with, or know of any pros/cons relating to the getting British businesses online scheme? It seems from some research to be quite good. However a few people on other forums have claimed vastly inflated prices to buy back the domain name to use at the end of their free time. Or difficulty in even speaking to anyone to change hosting provider.

I know virtually nothing about web sites, so any advice appreciated! Thanks

Sloth, I am in the process of launching a new service through arbtalk providing websites. They won't be free, but will be well made, optimized for google, come with 1 free years hosting, and 1 years listing in the arbtalk arborist directory......on top of that you will own the domain name from day 1 and have a content management system that will give you full access to add fresh content to your site any time you please...if you can post a thread and picture on Arbtalk you'll be able to edit one of the sites i'd provide.

Thats a lot compared to a GBBO site. I suppose you get the directory though

Well considering the directory is £70 alone, and reliable hosting would cost you £50 for the year i thought it was a pretty damm good offer.....im the only one whose going to be out of pocket on this one......i had expected to have my hand bitten off, but as it wasnt you may as well have a bite!!
