Did you see the council just let them off? :thumbdown:

And even refer to whoever inflicted the damage as a 'tree surgeon' :confused1:

Makes you wonder how bad it has to be to prosecute.

i do hate it when they refer to any old joe bloggs witha chainsaw as a'tree surgeon'!!:mad1:

That’s bad but it’s not as bad as the HSE lumping everyone who has an accident cutting a tree as a tree surgeon. I recon the majority of them ought to be in the landscaper plonker got out of his depth and came unstuck.

So what differentiates between Joe Bloggs with a chainsaw, and a "tree surgeon" in your opinion? Having missed the prog myself, were they described as unqualified, or just taken to court for a breach of Planning?

The (so-called) 'tree surgeon' did not appear in the programme, nor did it appear that the council ever found out who he was or spoke to him, in the piece the owner who requested some work (though, he claimed, not all the work that was carried out) said that the guy said "Hire me a set of ladders and a chainsaw and I'll do the work" (sic)

It was the aftermath that suggested an absence of skill or training.
