Motor Mover for BIG chipper

It would be simple enough to make a hydraulic mover that would run off the chippers hydraulics, you will need 2 low speed high torque hydraulic motors, a pair of wheels to transmit the power to the road wheels, one hydraulic valve block with 2 motor services, some pipe work and a bit of “jiggy with the miggy” to put it all together. It could be done along the lines of the “muck truck” where one wheel drives each pair side of road wheels by direct contact, the drive wheel is locked out during towing and engaged for manoeuvring, one distinct advantage is that the system can be made to lock in the engaged position making it pretty much impossible for anyone unauthorised to tow the chipper.

Running a splitter from a chipper is just a matter of a diverter valve and some pipework.
