A pantin foot ascender, although i dont use one,i tend to footlock the tail and if I'm close to the stem/branch I'll pull hand over hand. Spiderjack is an amazing tool but takes time to get really comfortable with it and get the most out of it. :001_smile:

Cool has anyone got a video of a pantin used with a lock jack or sj?

YOu don't need to see one as it's self explanatory and actually easier to use than you think it will be.

When working in a big tree I leave it on for the duration as when I'm not using it I don't even feel it's there.

It's a cheap piece of kit, just get one.

or put a sling between you and the SJ but make sure its not to long as tou wont be able to reach it when you want to bring the SJ back to you,or use an adjustable bridge (if your on a treemotion.
