I sold a Cinch to a mate of mine this week and of course he loves it but he insists on using dynamic rope, I have been using Blaze which runs fine but isn't correct for the Cinch and also it picks really badly, he's giving me a hank of dynamic rope to try and was just wondering if anybody else is using dynamic rope for their lanyards?

What seems to be the best diameter rope in the Cinch? Thanks.

Also, can you release the mechanism, to ease back, by just squeezing the device. I've seen it on a Grillon video.

The Cinch appeals to me as it appears to do exactly the same job as the Grillon and Grigri but it's smaller and cheaper.

Any comments.
