Just ordered a 1.25 one and am using 13mm rope. Now reading your comments have I done the right thing. Could you not make the retrieval clip wider by bending it slightly so that the the rope runs more freely,I hope so after spending £150

the only thing about bending it would be that then it wouldnt catch to retrieve the pullysaver, a mallion isnt very much money and the snap is handy for clipping it to your harness.

Thanks for the informative/helpful post James.

I was just about to place an order for a Pulleysaver today. I use 13mm rope, too, so would I be better off with the ART Ropeguide instead? One of the things I liked about the idea of the Pulleysaver was the Pinto pulley with space to attach another pulley underneath to create a mechanical advantage system for getting back up easily. Can you do this with Ropeguide?

basically it looks like i should get someone to splice me one and just use a maillon as the clip???? would be a lot cheaper as i already have a pinto!!

the sailing snap shackle is the best, drop the chap a line...
