Old thread being brought back to life but today's top tip to deal with a smelly helmet (ooh err!) is to use Baby Shampoo and warm water.

 

The baby shampoo is mild enough not to attack the plastics and it cleans up even the most neglected of helmets in no time.

 

I've done my motorbike crash helmet this way and it does work.

I used fairy liquid but will try the baby shampoo method. Not sure my wife will believe me when I ask her to put it on the shopping list.

Washing machine in pillow case but for the record ive never had a helmet smell bad, Ive washed coz they were dirty, Sort your sweat out cheese boy!! :001_tt2:
