just got round to getting my dolmar 9000 kitted out with 30" bar and chain, seems to bog very easily in not very big wood?? (ash) would 8 pin rim sprocket help rather than 7 pin, she has masses of compression so engine in good nick although not sure of top rpm for this saw, any help would be great:thumbup1:

8 pin won't help, it will make it worse.

You only want to put on a bigger sprocket if the saw is never bogging down, but not cutting as fast as you want.

A bigger sprocket is like changing up a gear in your car, if your already struggling the last thing you need is a higher gear.
