yeah it is but youll get use to it, i hold the rope under the lock jack and its fine.

I would say I disagree, Its a clutch and like A car you can creep on a clutch so when you get used to the presaures you need and where You are comtable holding the thing it's fine.

I love mine been climbing on one for six years and would not go back, if my kit got nicked tommorow I be on the phone to get another.

Go for the sport over the twine, you can alaway add a tape sling to get the same effect on long halls, and used with an assender and footlocking or a panten realy easy energry efficant way to get in a tree.

Wash your rope and it will keep it in better order and make it last longer than any hitch due to the reduced friction, use friction saver as much as posible and it more fluid but thats the same with a hitch I gesess, you can pull down on the rope to feed it in to the top of the lock jack and with only a little bit of rope wait it will eat slack, as soon as your wait is in it,it stops no creap not untill the cam is warn even then it minute and will take you a while to pick up on it.

Grab to rope above and pull towards you when branch walking give you the textile feel of a hitch, when climbing up a laddery tree one had from your groundy and you can scamble away with out a worrie.

NO NO's

Alway use a kab small than the wooden toggle.

Don't think the wooden toggle is the main down control.. thats where the on off comes from...

If you are any where near Norfolk give me shout and you can come try one out.
