I found when using one of these that if you let the rubbish build up underneath the machine, it somehow affects the ram and makes it cycle continuously. Is that what your fix solves, Steve? :001_smile:

 

No, that's just standard operating procedure to keep that area clean. This is a mechanical issue. I'm sure he's already checked everything's clean

My hakki has developed a problem with the splitting ram. It keeps cycling in and out and will not come to rest between cuts.

 

Anyone else had this problem?

 

Whereabouts in the mechanism should I be looking for the problem?

I think you might need a new pivot box? and if you look carfully i bet a bolt head has sheared off.
