I want an Ipad that i can use out and about and at home.

Orange have offered me 1 for £99 at £22 per month on a 2 year contract.

Its the 16gig or mega bite or something like that.

I already have the iphone which is great but battery life is poor and its just too small now for what i want:001_smile:

Any advice welcome:thumbup1:

my advice would be to get a tough carry case for whichever one you chose - mine is now bent and cracked due to the wife folding it up in the buggy!!

I'd go for 3G and WIFI if you want to use the web on the go though mate.

The good news is the battery on the iPad seems great. I use mine out surveying but just after it!

Got a 16gb wifi that suits me just fine, 3G will be a waste of space up there I would imagine. It's ok in larger cities but hopeless elsewhere IMO

personally I dont think there is much difference between the Ipad 1 and ipad 2, so if you want a deal you can get a ipod 1 on ebay either used or refurbished dirt cheap, and then if you shop around you can get a very cheap sim only contract for the ipad.

hope this helps!

what a cool name you have.:001_cool:

sim only contract??:confused1: never thought of that. What about a dongle, how do they work out cost wise? do they work?:001_smile:

I dont think you can use a dongle due to the fact of there not being a usb port, If you want a longterm cheap deal you could alternativly do the ipad 2 deal for say £22 a month and then sell the ipad 2 sealed on ebay for say £400 and then buy a used ipad 1 and with the money difference between the two it can work out to be like £10 a month!
