Climbed on a VT today for the first time. Bit weird at first, but think I'm going to love it. Any suggestions for types of carabiner? Also, does anyone have any negative comments about the VT?

think it takes alot of work and different combos to get it work smoothly, i try and play with it ever now and again but i stick to the blakes hitch. Never really got on with V.T.

for the harness to hitch climber krab i use a petzl ok which is the recomended krab. for the top hole i have one of those little dmm krabs, or use a small gecko

i tend to find with the vt its creeps abit u need to set it right and have a fiddle wit it

I have been playing with a further variation not shown here.

 

It consists of 4 turns then one braid to the rear, ends tied into a sheetbend in the front, then to krab.

 

anyone else tied ( tried) this?
