Wootton Bassett: a mark of respect after a job well done!

Having repatriated several close friends I can tell you Wooton Bassett is a special place! The whole town comes to a stand still and lines the high street, even the Kebab shop owners pay there respects along with hundreds. The single bell that tolls as the cortege passes makes the hairs stand up on your neck and brings a very big lump to the throat!

Well done WB!

Well done to Wootton Bassett, well done to the local people for coming out in huge numbers to pay their respects.

I just can't see how a new memorial on the edge of an industrial estate near Brize Norton will be the same.

I take my hat off to the people of Wootton Bassett.

They have shown a lot of respect for our Troops, shame it has been so many though.

Got a lot of respect for our troops, Our Fallen must not be forgotten.
