A lower inspector said my eye to eye spliced beeline could not be passes as my splices have not been tested. He said that if it failed, it would invalidate my insurance, if it was the reason for an accident. The splice was stitched and whipped. He said it looked perfectly safe, but would not be passed.

I'd be looking for a new loler inspector.

I agree with Peter especially as the loler inspector has just contradicted himself by saying the splices were perfectly safe.

 

Also if the splices were correctly made then the hitch cord could only fail as a result of excessive wear and or a cut.
