Today I got threatened with by a neighbour of my client with calling the POLICE and charging myself and my groundie with CRIMINAL DAMAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The alleged crime was.....................................................................................................Getting dust from normal chipping operations on his CAR. (the sort of dust that easilt blows off with a blower at the end of the day)

Honestly I kid you not. I realy had to bite my tongue and found myself five minutes later hozing the motor down to try to keep the peace. I know I shouldn't have, but it's a good area with plenty of trees and cash, so I thought for the sake of extra business probably worth it. So if theres anyone out there who wants their trees looked at AND the car washed at the same time....I'M YOUR MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was cutting a stump down a few weeks back, got some sawdust on the wheels of the car! Bloke went ballistic! I managed to stay calm just. I got a phone call a few hours later complaining. He didn't realise it was me he'd been on at, so I told him I'd have a word with the lad... He told me he didn't want me sacked which I thought was nice!

I had that two years ago, bloke went ballistic over dust, which I blew off and he still wasn't satisfied and was very very rude. :mad1:

So I ended up giving him a tenner for a wash and Wax to keep the peace and to get paid of the client.

Funny though, I went past a couple of days later and some kind person had squirted old diesel engine oil on his windscreen

About seven/eight months ago i was re-pollarding some gnarly, orrible ash. Real pain of a job, when a chap comes round from next door saying his boss wants a word. Turns out to be Des "permatan" o'conner who starts spitting feathers about saw dust on his crappy conservatory. Couldn't help but smile at the guy as he was doing his nut. All i ws thinking was "he,he, its him off the telly!"

Another one i had was a few years ago, when working for the LA. Storm damage has cracked out a limb on a street side ash. We turn up to see the limb hung up and a car underneath. After trying to seek the cars owner at every house within practical range with no joy, we decided to move the car using special wheel trolleys, very easy. moved the car about 10m and completed the works. The car owner came home from work after we'd gone and went mental! Even to the point of writing to the local paper to complain about the stress she had suffered when she found her car moved. Ungrateful cow! Should have just made her a new sun roof.
