Oiling problem - Komatsu / Zenoah

I have a G415AVS and it seems to have stopped oiling. I've drained out the oil and swilled it with petrol but still it won't oil.

Can I blow straight through with compressed air or not? I've tried with an aerosol but it's either blocked or it just physically won't allow the oil through due to it's design. :confused1:

How do I fetch the clutch off to gain access to the oil pump?

Can anyone please advise?

Take the clutch and drum off and its behind that, there is a tool to stop the piston but i just take the plug out put the draw cord in the hole to stop the piston moving, then spanner on the clutch and apply anti clockwise presure to release (sometimes with a hammer) :biggrin:

Erm, how do I take the clutch off? I can't see anywhere to put a spanner or allen key etc?

Is it an ordinary spanner or a special wrench of some kind?

 

 

I am sure that joke just whizzed over the heads of anyone who isn't or hasn't been a biker:thumbup:

If I had a spare one kicking around I might have a go at fitting it though!

Some clutches have a hex nut on them (Stihl), some have cut-outs or slots you can insert an old screwdriver and belt it (Husqvarna) and some you need to look for the appropriate recesses and make a suitable tool out of an old socket.

 

The cluch needs to be turned clockwise to loosen it - it has a right hand thread on it.

 

The first few are usually dificult but get easier to do once you have some experience.
