all my mates who went to uni are still flipping burgers

Same here mate! Problem i think, is that any proffesional position in any buisness will naturally be quite high up the ladder, threfore they aren't going to sign on anyone without experience! However its impossible to get experience enless you have a degree and get a job in it....impossible!?!

Arbtalk really works - he's got a trail day

Since finding Arbtalk I have leant so much and got some good deals, plus it's helped the lad to decide to get into 'arbwork' in a structured approach, he phoned up 20+ local tree guys but it was a PM from an Arbtalk member that did the trick and he's off today on a trail :thumbup1: will let you know have it went.

Just wondering if anybody is employing or knows of a company that is, I am located in oxfordshire however am prepared to travel.

A full CV is accesibe, however breifly:

Im 19, have been doing tree work for 8 years

have my own new PPE, own Stihl proffesional saws and my own transport.

i have a CS30 / 31 however my assessor said he could see that I had been using a saw for years.

any form of employement would make my day!!

thanks! Iain

Good on you for making an effort to find employment and advertise your experience/certs.That deserves credit when many other people your age just give up.Its just a clear decision of gaining experience now and be in a good position with more certs by the time you would have finished uni....by which time you may have become a useful member of a team and perhaps your efforts have paid off.Look at groundie jobs and learn to climb asap, try directly contacting good companies who may help you get more certs.
