Hardwood supply - Inverness Area

Hi

I am in the process of starting up a small firewood business serving the Strathdearn area, approx 20 miles miles south of Inverness.

I need to buy in some initial stacks of hardwood (birch, beech) to season for 2012 and would be grateful if anyone knows any good contacts/ sources? I will also be selling soft woods and am looking for a supplier of this as well.

I realise hardwood is in real demand, but anyone in the area who happens to know the going rate, that would be really helpful.

I am also planning on buying a firewood processor and forestry trailer (for tractor) and would be really grateful for any recommendations.

Any other tips and suggestions very much appreciated.

Cheers

James

Tillhill or Fountains might be able to sell you some?

Can't help you with prices, all I know is they're rising (for soft aswell as hard), the guys at the local sawmill were moaning to me about it

If you ever need a hand processing stuff, I have my own saw and petrol splitter, can travel :001_smile: . Can also do vehicle signwriting, and I'm cheap!
