Ref how good is the vw golf mk6 gtd 170 hp

HI all does anyone have golf mk6 gtd 170hp and how good are they looking at geting one thanks all jon

The new vw deisels have this really stupid particulate filter system that can cause problems. If you don't drive it a certain way it'll go into limp mode and you have to follow a certain procedure to turn it off.

Not all of them though, probably just the eco/blue motion type ones.

 

I have a 110 skoda Octavia and that's quick so the 170 will be a cracker

The mk6 is great, i have driven a few of them now, love the build quality and even just the 2:0 TDI engine pulls like a train! The Golf GT TDI 170 goes like stink but still returns 50mpg on a run!

 

The best bargain at the moment is the Mk5, which actually cost VW more to build than the mk6.

 

I went for a top spec Civic over the golf as i bought new, i got far more kit for my money than if we bought a golf and also the boot space on the Civic is better. Only 140bhp out of the 2:2diesel though.

HI windfall yes mate we had a mk5 140hp it was a good car but it need more like 170hp:thumbup1: plus your right the price of a mk5 is good just remap a 140 jobs a gooden thanks jon
