Hey thanks! I do a bot of birding (feathered variety) and came across this some time back hence the spotter badge from you

I am curious as I am from 'miker' neck of the woods and if it is a fancy beast I want to see it!! :001_tt2:

You'll be slumming it at the Portland Bill onservatory next :sneaky2:

I like a good ident' challenge too. I'm working with three obsessive birders at the moment and I guess they are having an influence on me, whether I likes it or not. I'm assuming a woodpeckerish outline for this beastie, so for my next random guess, how about a bit of exotica and a juvenile hoopoo?

if i can explain to me mum how to work my camera , ill get her to take some pics, (shes 84) if its any help she lives in micheldever ,farm land, half a dozen houses near by, so very quiet, she said that a great spotted woody comes to her feeder also, and has identified a nut hatch too, so she is quite up on her birds, this has become a bit of a mission now!!

Looking forward to seeing the bird. Micheldever woods are a good haunt of mine - love the big eared beeches and the tallest tree in the world laid flat to walk along!!
