just wanted to no of a good knot to attach my lowering rope to timber and your opinion it it as im not to familiar with rigging just really trying to get into it and try new things

really depends on the piece your lowering ,but running bowline, timber hitch seems to work for the best part ,ive used slings and their pretty handy if the ground staff can keep up:thumbup1: try and have a look at some of the rigging vids

yep running bowline and timber hitch are my 2 main knots used for rigging as well:thumbup:

ive been watching rigging videos and recoates videos really good theres a knot he uses which i cant seem to find out what it is called if you get a chance ill post the link for video and its knot he used to secure the lowering rope to the wood

it just came to me is recoates useing to half hitches or that what it looks like?

thats just a steel crab made into a choker with a half hitch backup

running bowline does the same job as the steel crab but you just need to tie it every time.

ok cheers it seems a quick and easy way with the crab and half compared to tieing the bowline? but is there any really you prefer to use bowline compared to that system?
