Meripilus & Ganoderma - White rot - butress root decay vs white rot - basal decay

 

This impressive Oak, is girdled completely by the Merip, but Ganos are asymetricaly sited

Oh yeah nearly forgot, not including this whimpy little sapro offering as part of the decay count, as it's just a sad little bystander to the main gig.

Whats the history of that Oak with respect the Gano and Merip David? Its putting up a bit of resistance isnt it!

Still got a working canopy although lost half of it during a big storm a few years ago.

 

It's in woodland, so we haven't worked on her.
