Interesting stuff, What sort of age was the tree the fungi was on?

Heterobasidion annosum & Kretzschmaria deusta vying for the same rooty wood volume here on this beech from earlier today.   Not much rooty stuff left I suspect

Birch with Fomes fomenatrius and Piptoporus betulinus on the same branch.   A more common occurrence in the north of the UK but less common to see both species on the same tree host here in

As well as the Hetero and Kretz this one also has colonisations of Ganoderma australe, Herricium chirahtus, Flammulina velutipes, Fomes fomentarius and Meripilus Jake.
