And yet another big drug den clear up. We had the local police with us incase they came back. It is getting annoying now as we are filling a sharps box up a week. This has to be one of the worst clear up i have ever done (so far). 2 sharps boxes filled and 4 binsacks of general waste.

A few pics of Rights of Way work today. First job was given as an overgrown footpath. It was overgrown to the point of you couldn't see where it went. So we cut our own path with the walk behind brush mower. The second job was to install a 3"x 3" post with a plastic finger. The normal way it just put a point onto the end and drive it in until it wont go in any more. We cut 3 feet off the top added a point and drove it in 2 feet. It looks nicer as the old one has been mullered by the farmer flailing his hedge so we put it on the other side of the road. We had two more jobs to do but one had been done for us and the fourth job is going to be about a mornings worth of tree clearance and bridge repair as an oak has dropped a big limb onto it.

And more rights of way stuff. We started with a clearance and stile replacement. We had a chat with the land owner and the gamekeeper as we would be making a fair bit of noise next to a drive. They were fine with it which was good. The rest of the jobs were fingerpost replacement/repair jobs around a small village and the checking of a "blocked" bridleway and a rotting stile.

Spent the afternoon doing a big clearance job on a pair of very overgrown footpaths. Our normal remit is to clear the bare minimum but as i had the whole afternoon to do both of them i decided to clear it back a metre each side of the desire lines. The first lot of pictures are the befores the second set are the afters. I got through 3 litres of 2 stroke and only 1 spool of 3mm Stihl Nylon cord.

First job of the day was to clear a fallen "branch" from a willow as it was blocking a bridleway bridge. We brought everything just incase and we are glad we did. We had our walk behind flail as well as we did a bridleway clearance about 3 miles away. The van sank badly in the farmers field but we used our folding ramps to get us moving again. The farmer said for us to stick to the tracks where possible so we did and paid the price.
