Hi all.

Have no idea on details but I wondered how many people would be interested in a south east recreational climb, maybe get a barbie on the go :thumbup1:

Hav'nt had much opportunity to climb since finishing first year at college so I'd be well up for it!

Just a thread to guage interest!

we usually organise one regularly, last one was about 2 months ago at gollums woods (mark kneller). i'm sure they'll be plenty of interest. looks like you get the honour of organising this one. if you have trouble finding a venue just put a post up, one of us will be able to sort one.

Ive been tempted to organise one recentley as we seem to have a reccy climb about once every 3 weeks or so at work.

We have found some AMAZING spots: some of the biggest oaks ive seen with some extrmeley long limbs and plenty of em in one place.

The other is a row of about 15 beechees so close that you can swing from one end to the other easily again abserloutley huge with massive limbs ill get some pics next time were there.

After Jonesies show on the Friday i will be taking a few to see the development of the wooden long house at Porc in Penshurst at around 5.30pm for about an hour, the owner Mike has said it could be a venue for a rec climb, it has a camping ground, car park, toilets and plenty of big trees.

It also could be an ideal place for a Zip line as it has a deep bowl in the woods.

I'm not a climber but if you meet up at the show you can have a look and get to meet Mike

Sounds like you guys have a far better understanding of how to organise this rather then me. I've never been to one before so don't really know how they work, but would definately come along. The mentioned venues sound cool!

... Thats not a cop out, if people want to organise something then I will help if theres anything I could do.
