I want to enlarge the grinding side of things, running a Rayco 1625 at the mo,

Can anyone who has had this size of grinder moved up to a 35 to 55 hp size

offer any guidelines? I want significantly improved productivity but I don't want a beast, something that can be loaded and unloaded easily,

thanks in advance

An orange one...

Company colours!

Seriously, hows it all going?

I just won an 81 spruce fell 'n' grind from a second home owner here.

He want more work after this lot too.

Spent a day on 30 thuyias, soft 'n' easy, €350 cash for a regular client.

Getting used to the machine and pricing.

Best prices are small groups of inconvenient stumps.

There, I can ramp up the price.

I'm going to save all my used greenteeth up and when I reach 100 or so ask our local 'affutage' company for a price to sharpen them all, I've no time, none at all.

Cheers

Ty

Hi Ty,

Yeah I saw that you had that big job, congrats, I find prices for sharpening here scandalous, Timberwolf blades €22 against seven quid at home.

work has picked up now the second homers are coming back, you have a 4012 don't you? which engine has that got?

For years we ran a Rayco RG20 and found a need to upgrade.

I used most models in my search and found the one that stood out was the Vermeer 352, by far the safest and delivered the power more effeciently. My only issue was that it got stuck on slopes and wet ground. I enquiered and had a new model delivered 4*4 / diff-lock with a blade on the back to clear the mulch. Great:thumbup: Will never look back.:thumbup1:

Engine is 35hp turbo and will run all day with 40l desiel. Have removed over 350 spruce stumps average 10 inch diameter in one day! Takes yellow jacket teeth that can be sharpened. :thumbup1:

Cheers Tony

I pay almost €50 for both sides of my CS100 blades but they are big at 30cm.

I'm running a bandit hb20, its powerfull but needs level ground or its just plain dangerous.

Ty

Just Googled those, you are going to get a serious workout using that all day!

Impressive,

it looks like he is having to look around the rad, whilst using one hand, can you not see the stump from a comfortable position by the levers?
