:blushing: cheers lads thanks for the help ive looked on the data base but couldnt find anything that resembled what i was looking for . i had found the prusic and if you watch the vid it says take a preformed prusik loop but doesnt say how to form it . im doing my cs38 /39 in a week and im cackin it :blushing: dont know any knots and only ever climbed once :blushing:

the youtube vid worked well , thanks for that rob but i was just trying to brush up on anything i might have to learn on the coarse so that i dont have to learn it all there , (forewarned fore armed so to speak ) anything else you can think of that might be of use would be appreciated thanks

Dont worry too much about the knots, you will learn them over time and you only need to learn a handful to start with. A good way to remember them is if you have a short piece of cord with you all the time and just practice tying them when you are waiting on the bus or waiting for the pasta to be ready etc. i would say probably the bowline is the most used and versatile knot to get in your head. Other than that just pay attention to the guy teaching you and you will do fine.

i will have a look at the bow line, already got my practice piece to try them on, :thumbup: i was quite confident about the course but then read someone elses thread about how they fared on the course and now feeling a little apprehensive :thumbdown: im sure i will be fine though :001_smile:
