What to put on advertising...

I would keep it clean and simple, tell them what they need to know in the 1st instance Name, address, contact details, dont clutter it with a load of info that they get on the phone. Have a nice pic of something tree related in there, but maintain "white" space. Set up a website for all the extra info you wish to portray, for your clients perusal, pics, descriptions of jobs and so on.

Run on the KISS system - Keep It Simple Stupid. Too much info can bombard people or make it not stand out.

Who you are

Contact details inc address and website

All aspects of tree work etc.

Insured, qualified maybe nptc/lantra logo.

Colour scheme and logo is as important as what it says too.

Who is the audience? Tell them what they want to hear. Then validate it for real.

For example Doctors, we will ensure their investment continues to grow and proven by your accredations.

Marketing to 50+ book has been the most helpful in my biz.

Best efforts are in referrals! IMO.

One thing that always stands out to me is the quality of the paper. Glossy 120gsm paper works well for flyers as a minimum.

Nothing worse than coloured Izal :D

That's my tuppence worth, but agree with including landline & mobile numbers and a website if you have one. Also if you are VAT registered or have a Company Registration number include that. It instills more of a feel good factor :-)
