i did my medium trees in poplar wood too... along with a load of other assignment work... i was there in 2002/3 ish if i remember correctly!

1990-1993 1st dip Forestry with Trev Law then NC / ND arb with Neil Rowbottom top lecturer!!

 

were Steve Fox and Steve Vanstone still there in 1990? We also had Rob Widdicombe for some of our courses. Top blokes. There was also mad Angus the Scot. He used to do his nut at nearly everything.

Did my one and half guide bar length in poplar wood along with badger watching. Did wind blow stuff up above the old hort unit where they grew the carnations and stuff. I still remember the day the big old Beech blew down in a gale in front of the main hall.

steve fox was there when i was, but left since, lives down in devon or somthing but he was back the other week doing chainsaw assessments so he is still around
