Sod that. I cancelled 3 deliveries today as the tractor is awol from the processor and had to cut and split with chainsaw and splitter, hell it was slow and tedious. Simply couldn't be bothered, was cold and wet, got WD I think lol.

Logs going out like there's no tomorrow .just done 12 loads today.. And more tomorrow .will need to start cutting some more soon as shed is looking bare.now.

 

 

Same here despite pulling website (it needed redone anyway) and telling customers we're no longer doing firewood. Another week of freezing forecast though so don't see any respite

If I remember right you have a harvesting operating so thought it would be a good earner for you.?

Harvesting is a sideline. Likewise Firewood which can be profitable but simply demands too much time and has too many individual customers. I enjoy both but something has to give.

Hi Jon I was talking a log chap today he said it not been a good year at all BUT HE SAID CORD PRICE STILL TOO HIGH THANKS JON

Roundwood price can't be too high. Firewood processors should just adjust their retail price according to cost of raw materials. If they do things will all level out
